The Story of a Victorian Renovation Part 3
If you love the process of renovation, like we do at HTR Construction, you'll enjoy this update on an extensive project that we are doing. It not only includes the renovation of an old Victorian home but also an extensive addition (with a garage), both of which, will incorporate recycled elements from a horse stable & carriage house.
Recently, we did a video about the recycled elements being used in the project. You can see the video, HERE.
We also have another post, about the very beginning of the project, HERE.
Below, a sketch of the finished project.
Here, some of the new framing going up, in the old part of the home.
Excavating, where the addition will go in.
Preparation for the foundation, soon to be poured.
The foundation being poured.
Voila! The foundation is created!
Framing going up in the new addition.
An exterior shot of a section of the addition.
Below we've covered the new studio floor to protect it, while the rest of the room is completed. Here you can also see some of the wood that was recycled from the horse stable on the wall.
A shot of an upstairs hallway.
And now, some photos of bathroom tiling going in.
Below temporary weights are placed on the new floor.
And outside, the exterior siding is on.
Lots more to come (including a beautiful new kitchen and master suite) so stay tuned!
