Bringing It All Together
HTR Construction has completed an addition that joined an old farmhouse and a barn on a former working farm in Lexington, MA, that was built in 1875. The architect did a beautiful job blending the two structures together. The addition on the first floor, included a two car garage, a family room and a lovely aging-in-place bathroom. The 2nd floor, a gorgeous new home office, overlooking their beautiful backyard, as well as another bathroom. Both floors of the new addition have an abundance of windows. To bring light into the 2nd floor bathroom, HTR installed a solar tube skylight.
One of the things I loved about the addition was that they recycled an old window from the original house, above the garage.
