The Principal



Tom Fernandes brings experience from many areas into his role as owner of HTR Construction. He is a skilled carpenter, a proven project manager, a respected salesman and an enthusiastic entrepreneur with a vast accumulation of construction knowledge. Tom graduated from Harvard College in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts where he concentrated in Visual and Environmental Studies. His background in design and architecture continues to add value to his clients' projects and the services his company provides.

Tom and his wife Louise enjoy being parents to their two daughters.

HTR Construction, Inc. is a remodeling and construction company that is founded on providing high quality workmanship, outstanding customer service and the best possible prices to our customers. We believe in high standards of reliability, courtesy and respect for our clients. These standards begin with- in the company and apply to our customers, vendors and subcontractors. We take pride in keeping our promise to deliver projects on time and on budget. Our employees are uniquely qualified to produce high quality work on customers' homes. It’s these qualities that leave our customers with a feeling of satisfaction and value that will make them want to refer us to their friends and family.

I have been in the construction business for 29 years now and still have a thirst for challenges, growth and learning. HTR has gotten to where we are with these values in mind, and my vision for the future holds new challenges for everyone who is part of the company. For this company to move forward, we will continue to thrive on these values, set higher standards for ourselves than the average company does, and exceed expectations to consistently produce outstanding results.

Company Objectives

  • Nearly all HTR Construction, Inc.'s customers come to us from "word of mouth". It is important that we strive to improve customer service, produce a satisfied customer with every project and expand the network of referrers who bring customers to us.
  • Our personnel objective is to hire and train top-level tradesmen with project management capabilities to follow through with the completion of projects.
  • Each project has many variables that determine a successful outcome. Our goal is to assure the customer that the finished project, and the process by which it is achieved, are increasingly predictable and satisfying for all involved.
